Don't expect refund from @hotelscomhelp if your room is covered in disgusting black mold. Hotel Atlante Star in Rome refused to fix the problem or provide another room. We immediately checked out upon discovery of this health hazard, didn't spend single night there!! https://t.co/dpOSYCD8yn

Here's how I managed to fix it. Called the IHCL Gold helpline, and they resolved it while on the call. I just had to send an email with ID proof (gold@tajhotels.com).

@hotelsdotcom's registration email form fails to properly invalidate input when (legal but unsupported) characters in the user's email cannot be properly supported in THEIR platform.
This is a common issue across many sites (especially w/ +), but it's still sloppy engineering.

I just made "SILVER" status on my Hotelsdotcom account.
With the "Silver" status they are giving me a free room anywhere (up to $142).
Problem is, I have to use it before the end of this month or I lose it.
They will not let me use for the room I already have this weekend.
