Of anyone for the love of god has Hughesnets and sees this, please down load the FCC speed test and start logging your speeds. If you aren’t tech savvy, find someone who is to help. Don’t let HN walk all over you and demand what you pay for!

@cjgofs @cherball1890 @elonmusk @SawyerMerritt For comparison my parents house has hughesnet and they pay probably $120 a month for 20gb with a max download speed of maybe 5-10mbps and it reduces down to like 300kbps after 20gb of data usage, so anything is better at that point.

Never agree and double down. Even with that. You’ll likely need to scream and swear to be taken seriously or to a manager

@robTlibra @HughesNet The mistake I made was that I thought it was only slow when I had no tokens and They were throttling me harder than usual. If you do a speed test, with data. And you get under 25mbs, it’s a problem. Say it’s a problem and don’t agree with HN when they said is it better/fixed

@robTlibra @HughesNet Worst case scenario they keep telling you everything is fine and it’s your fault it’s slow, but you get a free token. Best case scenario after a couple months they’ll get fed up, do a real test by level 4 technician and realize there’s been a problem all along

@RFWaves101 @holman1124 No excuse. There’s a T-Mobile site down in Gilmer County WV that pulls 300 down and 80 up over microwave. N71 15MHz, B2 10MHx and B66 10MHz gets you that. It’s an area where HughesNet is the only option. And it’s T-Mobile or nothing there.

@mondiani @ESGhound @littlebluena Not for the US HughesNet/Viasat customers. The Ookla data says ~23Mbps for Hughes/Viasat. They crash to 1-3Mbps after the data cap. Target market is existing satellite internet and those below 25/3 speed.

The worst part about Hughesnet isn’t the service itself, which is down right pitiful in 2022, but the customer service that is somehow even worse than the service itself.

I did it. I finally broke down and bought @elonmusk StarLink💫. Spent 6 hours trying to update a video game and used my entire monthly data allowance from @HughesNet in that time. Can’t live like this, hopefully the space man will allow me to connect with the rest of the world.

The @ATT cell signal is absolute garbage in Jackson, #michigan 4G/5G my ***, it’s like the old school dial up speeds. Ever since the plandemic, cell service and WiFi have been horrible. @HughesNet increased the cap from 50gb to 75gb but slowed down their speeds.
