@Telstra Yes fiber has been rolled out there a few years ago.. my main issue now is that I am getting bills for an account I requested to be closed since I am with leaptel for my personal internet.

I'm on the @Telstra merry-go-round. I call for slow internet & dropouts, & 'friendly' staff practice their empathy script. Hrs later they declare issue 'resolved' & close the ticket. I call again & they start 'new' complaint. 7th ticket in 6 days & internet still not working 😡

@Telstra I just want Telstra to answer their phones when I ring them with a problem. I don’t mind waiting five minutes or even 15 minutes but not one day or for ever. All the big phone companies have hopeless phone inquiry and information lines, but I think Telstra is the worst!

Well, that was entertaining.
Called by standard-issue scammer. Said “if you’re from @telstra then you’ll know my account number”. The scammer made up an invalid account number then insisted it was correct.
I hung up.
I was called back with a series of threats of physical harm.

@TelStratLLC I will note that M. Pettis doesn't think trade wars actually work; he suggests that the problem comes from imbalanced foreign capital inflows, which almost "forces" a trade deficit via BOP mechanisms. So his suggestion is to tax or somehow impede foreign capital flows
