All about procedure

Permanent Makeup is a cosmetic tattooing service where the qualitative result is usually achieved in 2 to 3 skin tone pigmentation procedures. Recommended intervals between additional procedures are 1-2 months. Additional procedures achieve:

  • more even distribution of the colourant in the skin;
  • a more accurate match to the colour and shade;
  • a more permanent result.

The colouring substance in the pigment is injected into the upper layer of the skin with the help of a special apparatus at the tip of a needle and is perceived by the immune system as a foreign body. While “wearing” the cosmetic tattoo, the body gradually rejects the dye. Depending on the individual characteristics of the immune system, the dye can be retained on different parts of the skin for various periods – from a few months to a certain number of years. Maintaining the achieved quality of PM requires periodic procedures. Usually, the intervals between them are 1-3 years.

Contraindication

Permanent makeup procedures may have medical contraindications

Common medical contraindications include, but are not limited to:

  • Hepatitis B and C, HIV infection;
  • diabetes, reduced immune status;
  • poor blood clotting;
  • a tendency to keloid scarring;

Aftercare

To achieve the necessary quality and more excellent durability, PM usually needs 1-2 additional procedures (correction) at 1-2 month intervals.

  • Be prepared for the fact that the intensity of the colour of the permanent makeup decreases by 30-60% after rejection of the crust;
  • The crust formed after the procedure has a significant impact on the quality of the procedure; the crust should remain on the skin as long as possible, and in no case should it be torn off or softened;
  • It is possible to rinse the tattoo area with running water with further treatment with healing ointments;
  • Do not take sunbaths; avoid sauna and swimming pool for 7-10 days until the crust heals.
  • To obtain an even contour and smooth blending, DO NOT allow the crust to dry out or soak thoroughly;
  • Do not use decorative cosmetics for 3-5 days. Correction can be carried out after at least three weeks.
